The platform course “Monitoring breeding waterbirds in Mediterranean wetlands” was produced by Pimenko in collaboration with Tour du Valat. This e-learning project is aimed primarily at birdwatchers and partners involved in ecological monitoring in Sahelian and northern Africa, offering practical methodologies for counting waterbirds.
This online course is structured into four thematic sequences, covering topics such as the importance of counting birds, counting techniques, and data collection and processing. Recognized experts in ornithology and conservation contributed to each training sequence.
The project was praised for its ability to effectively integrate different types of media and specialized expertise, and to adapt content to local realities.

Pedagogical design of specialized concepts
Pimenko has developed a varied teaching scenario, incorporating 11 expert videos, 17 interactive presentations and 8 commented presentations to enrich the learning experience. This approach enabled us to transform specialized concepts into more easily assimilated training content, while creating visual and interactive resources to keep participants engaged.
Video and media production for training
Managing the production of multimedia content required meticulous coordination, involving studio shoots and self-shoots. Pimenko provided constant technical support, overseeing the scriptwriting, shooting and post-production phases. This included assisting the experts in preparing their presentations, ensuring uniform professional quality across all modules.
Ongoing support and personalization
Pimenko worked closely with the project teams to ensure that the course precisely met the expectations and needs of the target audience.
This regular interaction has enabled us to dynamically adapt the content and teaching methods to the feedback and particularities of the participants.
