Development for the heart of the first OpenSource LMS: Pimenko’s expertise

Pimenko is proud to actively contribute to the development of the world’s most widely used open source e-learning platform (LMS). Our technical expertise and commitment to innovation enabled us to integrate our AdminPreset plugin into the core software code, a first for a French company.

AdminPreset: a plugin integrated into the official code of the OpenSource LMS

AdminPreset is a plugin that simplifies the configuration and deployment of learning platforms. It allows you to :

  • set up an LMS platform in just a few clicks, with ready-to-use settings.
  • easily export and import configuration from one LMS site to another.
  • save time and ensure parameter consistency between different LMS platforms.

Initially developed and distributed by Pimenko on Moodle.org, AdminPreset was integrated into the heart of Moodle in 2021, testifying to the quality and relevance of our developments.

Close collaboration with LMS head office teams

The integration of AdminPreset into the core LMS code is the result of close collaboration between Pimenko and the software’s development team. This ambitious two-year project enabled :

  • Integrate key AdminPreset functions into the official LMS code from version 4.0 onwards
  • Improve the user experience and accessibility of the plugin in versions 4.1 and 4.2.
  • Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 level AA accessibility standards.

A rigorous development process

  • Use of the official software tracker: centralize comments, track bugs and developments in complete transparency.
  • Sprint development: short, iterative development cycles for concrete, testable results.
